The MLB sluggers take center stage on Monday night as the annual Home Run Derby goes down in Cleveland. Christian Yelich withdrew from the contest on Sunday night because of a back injury, but even without the MLB's leading home-run hitter this regular season, the league's annual extravaganza will be a spectacle to savor. Here's everything you need to know ahead of Monday night. When and where is the Home Run Derby? The Home Run Derby takes place on Monday, July 8 p. m. ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, home of the Cleveland Indians. TV coverage As has been the case since 1998, ESPN will broadcast the Home Run Derby live–the event was broadcast on a same-day delayed basis between 1993 and 1998–on Monday night. Live stream Coverage of the Home Run Derby will also be available online via and through the WatchESPN app. Which players are participating? Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman replaced Christian Yelich after the Milwaukee Brewers right-fielder, who leads the MLB in home runs this season, withdrew with a back injury on Sunday. Chapman will be the number one seed, even though Pete Alonso, Josh Bell and Alex Bregman have hit more regular-season homers than he has. Extremely disappointed to not be able to participate in the HR Derby tomorrow. Always been a dream but unfortunately things don’t always go your way and I’m not physically able. I’m sorry if anybody was let down but I hope to be apart of it again at some point in the future. — Christian Yelich (@ChristianYelich) July 7, 2019 Here's the complete field Matt Chapman—Oakland Athletics, 21 home runs in 2019 Pete Alonso—New York Mets, 28 home runs in 2019 Josh Bell—Pittsburgh Pirates, 26 home runs in 2019 Alex Bregman—Houston Astros, 23 home runs in 2019 Joc Pederson—Los Angeles Dodgers, 20 home runs in 2019 Ronald Acuna Jr. —Atlanta Braves, 20 home runs in 2019 Carlos Santana—Cleveland Indians, 19 home runs in 2019 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. —Toronto Blue Jays, 8 home runs in 2019 Pete Alonso #20 of the New York Mets follows through on a fourth inning home run against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field on July 5 in New York City. Jim McIsaac/Getty Format The eight players will compete over three single-elimination rounds. In the first round, the matchups are determined based on the number of home runs players have hit in the regular season. The player who has hit the most regular-season home runs is the number one seed, while the player who has hit the least is the number eight seed. Each player aims to hit as many home runs as possible during their four-minute window in each round. Players receive a bonus 30 seconds per round if they have hit at least two home runs that travel over 440 feet. The tie-breaker is a 90-second swing-off. First-round matchups Because the seedings had already been announced before Yelich's withdrawal, Chapman will be the number one seed even though three of the eight participants have hit more home runs than he has so far this season. The matchups are as follows (number in bracket denotes seeding) Matt Chapman (1) vs Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (8) Alex Bregman (4) vs Joc Pederson (5) Pete Alonso (2) vs Carlos Santana (7) Josh Bell (3) vs Ronald Acuna Jr. (6) The winners of the first two matches face each other in the semifinals, as do the winner of the bottom two matches. The eventual winners of the second-round will meet in the final. Odds According to BetOnline, Bell is a 3/1 favorite, followed by Alonso and Guerrero at 5/1 and Acuna at 8/1, respectively. Bregman, Pederson and Santana are all 9/1 outsiders. MLB Home Run Derby 2019: How to Watch, Start Time, TV Schedule, Updated Lineup and Odds | Sports

She placed me in the friend zone, so I'm listening to this song, from the day she friend zoned me. Run away with me. Run adp login. Mitchel Chang/CNET Whether you're a seasoned runner training for your race, or just getting started on your jogging journey, the Apple Watch ( $189 at Walmart) can help get you there. If you're used to tracking your runs on a mobile app, the Watch will help lighten your load. Nike+ Run Club, Runkeeper and Strava are just some of the major running apps that are also available on the Apple Watch, allowing you to leave your phone behind. But if you're not tied to any third-party running app yet, the native Activity app on the Apple Watch has most of the features you'll need to log those miles and keep you motivated while you run. You just need to know how to find them. Here are a few tips to make your Apple Watch a better running buddy.  Update your stats Josh Miller / CNET First things first: Make sure the Apple Watch knows who you are. This means gender, weight, height, age -- basically all the indicators that the watch needs to accurately measure distance and calories burned. You may have set this up in your Health app when you first set up your Apple Watch, but if you haven't or if your weight has changed since then, make sure your profile has all the right info. Go to the Watch app on your phone and select the My Watch tab on the bottom, then go to Health, and press Edit on the top right to make the changes. Calibrate the watch Another important part of the "getting to know you" stage is calibrating the watch to your individual pace and stride to get a more accurate read of distance when you leave your phone behind or GPS isn't reliable. If you've never done this before, you may just want to start off with a clean slate. Go to the My Watch tab of the Watch app on your phone and click on Privacy and select Reset Fitness Calibration Data. To recalibrate, Apple recommends taking your watch out on a jog in a flat open area where you get good reception. Series 1 users will have to bring a phone along on this first run. Next you'll need to start an outdoor run or walk in the Workout app on the Apple Watch and do either for at least 20 minutes. If you don't have 20 minutes to spare, you can also do this in 5- or 10-minute intervals, just know you need to reach a total of 20 minutes to accurately calibrate.   Once you've logged the initial 20 minutes' worth, you can ditch the phone and resume your usual running routes. The watch will continue to learn about your stride and calibrate over time. Tighten that band   Once you have stride and distance figured out, you'll need to make sure you're getting an accurate reading of heart rate. The Apple Watch uses heart rate (along with other metrics) to calculate calories burned, and the gadget can be used to help keep you in check during training or in a race. But the heart rate sensor has to be in direct contact with your skin to get an accurate read, which means you may have to tighten up the band before you go on a jog to make sure the Apple Watch stays in place when you're swinging your sweaty arm up and down. Just don't overdo it and cut off circulation to your hand -- and maybe loosen it back up once you're done.   It's also designed to work best on top of your wrist, so putting the sensor on the bottom side of your wrist (where you would normally take your pulse) is actually counterproductive. I wore it on the wrong side for months before finally figuring this one out, so save yourself some run time and learn from my mistake. If you want to get even more precise with your read, you can pair it with an external heart rate monitor.  Customize your metrics for success On outdoor runs the Apple Watch can keep tabs of eight different metrics, ranging from average pace to elevation gain, but that doesn't mean you have to see all of that info on the screen while you run. Figure out the numbers that get you pumped, and then customize your Workout interface from the Watch app on your phone. In my case, for example, distance is front and center, while active calories remains hidden in my activity app. Vanessa Hand Orellana/CNET Scroll down to the Workout option on the My Watch tab on your iPhone ( $899 at Amazon), and once you're in, click on Workout View at the top. Next, select the Outdoor (or Indoor) Run option, hit Edit on the top right and add, delete or rearrange as you see fit. You'll be able to view only five metrics at a time. Set goals You can also set goals before every run from the Workout app on the Apple Watch. Click on the three dots next to the type of run you're selecting and set your goals based on distance, calories or time. Set running goals from the Workout app on the Apple Watch Activate Auto Pause This feature is essential for surviving city runs without having to adjust your Watch at every stoplight. You can activate Auto Pause from the Watch app from your phone or directly on the Apple Watch itself, so take your pick. On the Watch, go to Settings/General/Workout, and toggle Auto Pause. If you're on the Watch app on the iPhone, select the My Watch Tab, Workout and toggle Running Auto Pause. This works for outdoor runs and on a treadmill, so that stoplight stall or water break won't bring down your time and pace during a run. Maximize battery life As you've probably learned the hard way, runs are not good on battery life. And if you're a night jogger like me, you may find yourself running on empty. Or worse yet, the battery may die before you finish your run -- which means the run won't show up in your activity log! If you're running dangerously low on juice, try activating Power Saving Mode before you start. This is different than the Power Reserve option you get when you're down to 10 percent, which basically turns off all features other than time. Power Saving Mode is a pre-emptive step that'll help extend battery life while still retaining most of the basic tracking features. Activate the Power Saving Mode from the Watch or from the phone. To activate Power Saving Mode from the Apple Watch, go to Settings/General/Workout and toggle the Power Saving Mode option. You can also do this from the Watch app on your iPhone and deactivate once you've completed your run. You may see a slight variation in calories burned because this mode also shuts off the heart rate sensor, but it should still give you an accurate read of your run. WatchOS 5 will bring even more running features Runners will also get a new set of tools in WatchOS 5 to rev up training. The update expected to roll out in September will add cadence (steps per minute) and rolling mile pace (how fast you ran the previous mile) to the list of metrics to track on a run. It'll also bring custom pace alerts (via haptic feedback) when you fall below or rise above your target pace. Here're some other great workout features you may want to preview while you wait for the official WatchOS 5 update.  First published July 27, 2018 and has since been updated. Y give her this post? The sister also stupid. FINALLY A WORTH WATCHING SERIES IN CINEMA STYLE WITHOUT TOOOOOO MUCH CRYING SCENES. KEEP IT UP SELVA. Runescape massacre. India Premier League can be streamed live on Hotstar, note that it’s a paid service. Here’s where Hotstar messed up, since Hotstar is so nice they allow you to watch a 10 minute preview without logging into the platform. As soon as I noticed this, my spidey senses started to tingle, being a JavaScript junkie, I knew they had to store something locally to keep the time in sync with the server. JavaScript has limited APIs to store data locally (Cookies, Local Storage etc. …) and these APIs are readily available to the users. Now all I had to do was figure out what is stored to sync time with the server and then try modifying it, so that the timer resets, allowing me to watch the game indefinitely. localStorage entry which the app uses to detect end of free preview Turns out this is the only value they use to sync time with the server, now all we have to do is clear this. Instead of clearing exactly one value, we will use generic code to clear everything from localStorage. The code is pretty straight forward: (); But we have an issue, just running this won’t work because the website keeps sending requests to sync time with the server, by the time we run the script and reload the page, the page would have sent out multiple requests and synced with the server. The solution is to run the code repetitively using setInterval. setInterval(() => { ()}, 0); Now all we have to do is reload the page for it to take action. Since Hotstar allows you to watch a preview of 10 mins we can reload the tab at the 9th minute. setInterval(() => { ()}, 0); setTimeout(() => { ()}, 540000); *540000 is 9 minutes in milliseconds. voilà we are done, this is all it takes to beat the system. You might have noticed there was some manual intervention required, so I wrote a chrome extension to inject the above mentioned code into the target page. Let’s set up the file for the chrome extension with the following permissions.... "permissions": [ "tabs", "activeTab"]... All we have to do is listen to two events: Extension icon click event ( owserAction. onClicked) Page reload event () When the user clicks on the extension, it means he/she wants to inject the code into the active tab. After about 9 minutes when the page reloads we listen to reload event and inject the code into the active tab. This keeps repeating, giving us a perfect loop, every 9 minutes the page reloads and on reload the script is injected again resetting the timer. The code is available on github( view). EDIT: Hotstar reduced the freemium time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes, we can fix this by changing the code to - setInterval(() => { ()}, 0); setTimeout(() => { ()}, 180000); *180000 is 3 minutes in milliseconds.

Now playing: Watch this: Game of Thrones season 8 VFX breakdown 3:38 Setting the scene This year is going to be big for Game of Thrones -- the show ended in May, and 2019 is its last chance to scoop a third Emmy for best drama. HBO's phenomenally popular fantasy show leads the pack with 32 nominations, despite a final season that divided viewers (it  already won 10 awards at this year's Creative Arts Emmys). Nine of the show's stars are nominated for the lead or supporting actor categories, including Gwendoline Christie who  nominated herself much to the confusion of fans. Thrones plays a big part in making HBO the network with the most nominations. This year HBO claims 137 noms for shows including pitch-black comedy Barry and cutting satire Veep, which also ended this year. The network brought us powerful one-off dramas Chernobyl and Sharp Objects, while you can currently catch up with the new season of Succession, a biting look at the luxurious lives of the super-rich that plays like Game of Thrones with helicopters and boardroom battles instead of dragons and sword fights. The finale of Game of Thrones divided fans, but there's no denying the show's overall impact. HBO Just behind Thrones is When They See Us, with 16 nominations. The hard-hitting docu-drama is based on a true story, a big trend on the big screen and increasingly dominates the small screen. Chernobyl, Escape at Dannemora, A Very English Scandal and Fosse/Verdon are other true stories on the shortlist. When They See Us is one of many shows to earn nominations for streaming service Netflix, which could win awards for shows like Ozark, Russian Doll and the final season of House of Cards. Netflix rival Amazon Prime Video has been nominated 47 times, including 20 for the streaming service's irrepressible original show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Amazon  also claims nominations for Fleabag and A Very English Scandal, which appeared on the BBC first. Winner predictions How will fan reaction to Game of Thrones and other shows influence Emmy voters? Look here for the full list of nominees, and here for a handy guide on how to watch their shows. It also might be useful to check out this guide to who's behind the voting, what with a level of secrecy surrounding the whole thing. Also note that the Emmys are following in the Oscars' footsteps by not having a host. It worked out for the Academy, so let's hope one of TVs biggest nights has a good one too. Outstanding drama series Better Call Saul Bodyguard Game of Thrones Killing Eve Ozark Pose Succession This Is Us It's got to be Thrones -- partly because it's likely most Emmy voters will have actually watched the show's entire eighth and final season, and partly because there may be some goodwill toward sending the massively influential show out with a bang. That's not to mention the hefty bundle of Emmys it bagged at the Creative Arts Emmys -- focused on technical achievement, which aside from one controversial episode, has been one of Thrones' best assets. Outstanding comedy series Barry Fleabag The Good Place The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Russian Doll Schitt's Creek Veep Veep is also heading out the door after its seventh and final season aired in May, but with so many worthy competitors in the category it has dominated for the last four years, it may have to step aside for the likes of the Bill Hader-starring Barry. The dark comedy's second season not only bettered the first, but it also turned heads with a surreal standout episode upping its credentials as something completely unique on TV. Outstanding limited series Chernobyl Escape at Dannemora Fosse/Verdon Sharp Objects When They See Us It's between Chernobyl and When They See Us for sure. But Ava DuVernay's miniseries might just pip the former with its unflinching, empathetic light shed on the case of the Central Park Five. The case of the Central Park Five was cross-examined in Netflix's When They See Us. Atsushi Nishijima/Netflix Outstanding television movie Black Mirror: Bandersnatch Brexit Deadwood: The Movie King Lear My Dinner With Herve Who didn't have a go at clicking through the different pathways in Bandersnatch, Charlie Brooker's painstaking choose-your-own-adventure movie? But while Bandersnatch ticks the uniqueness box, the poignant vote would go to Deadwood: The Movie. Arriving 13 years after the TV show ended, with the majority of the original cast including Timothy Olyphant and Ian McShane, it would be some victory for the celebrated show. Outstanding lead actress in a drama series Emilia Clarke, Game of Thrones Jodie Comer, Killing Eve Viola Davis, How to Get Away With Murder Laura Linney, Ozark Mandy Moore, This Is Us Sandra Oh, Killing Eve  Robin Wright, House of Cards She lost out last year to a gracious Claire Foy ( The Crown), but this year's the one for Sandra Oh, the bumbling heart of everyone's favorite spy thriller, Killing Eve. It'll be historic too: If Oh wins, she'll be the first woman of Asian descent to win an Emmy in this category. This year's the one. Outstanding lead actor in a drama series Jason Bateman, Ozark Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us Kit Harington, Game of Thrones Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul Billy Porter, Pose Milo Ventimiglia, This Is Us Some would say they know who it won't be (sorry, Kit Harington). Sterling K. Brown would be a worthy winner, but in a tight category, the nod might go to Bob Odenkirk, who's been knocking on the door for some while now with his consistently excellent work in Better Call Saul. Outstanding lead actress in a comedy series Christina Applegate, Dead to Me Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep Natasha Lyonne, Russian Doll Catherine O'Hara, Schitt's Creek Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fleabag While the entire world may not have seen Fleabag, which they absolutely should, Emmy voters in this category probably have. That gives us some hope that Phoebe Waller-Bridge will take home lead actress. Despite this being Julia Louis-Dreyfus' last chance to win with Veep, her six-year winning streak already seems like ample recognition. Outstanding lead actor in a comedy series Anthony Anderson, Black-ish  Don Cheadle, Black Monday Ted Danson, The Good Place Michael Douglas, The Kominsky Method Bill Hader, Barry  Eugene Levy, Schitt's Creek After the success of season 2, Barry's Bill Hader is the clear frontrunner to secure his second lead actor Emmy in a row. Bill Hader has a hit on his hands as troubled assassin Barry. Outstanding lead actress in a limited series or TV movie Amy Adams, Sharp Objects Patricia Arquette, Escape at Dannemora Aunjanue Ellis, When They See Us Joey King, The Act Niecy Nash, When They See Us Michelle Williams, Fosse/Verdon Neither Michelle Williams nor Amy Adams have won an Emmy yet. It's a close race between the two worthy winners, but given Williams' transformation into real-life actress and dancer Gwen Verdon, she might have the edge. Outstanding lead actor in a limited series or TV movie Mahershala Ali, True Detective Benicio Del Toro, Escape at Dannemora Hugh Grant, A Very English Scandal Jared Harris, Chernobyl Jharrel Jerome, When They See Us Sam Rockwell, Fosse/Verdon For his exceptional work in When They See Us, we're going to give this one to Jharrel Jerome. The actor portrays both the young and adult versions of Korey Wise, one of the Central Park Five. Outstanding supporting actress in a drama series Gwendoline Christie, Game of Thrones Julia Garner, Ozark Lena Headey, Game of Thrones  Fiona Shaw, Killing Eve Sophie Turner, Game of Thrones Maisie Williams, Game of Thrones We know it should be Lena Headey. But given Cersei had a disappointingly small amount to do in Game of Thrones' final season, there's the small chance Gwendoline Christie will mark a triumphant win for her role as Ser Brienne of Tarth, an influential and unconventional female warrior and role model. Gwendoline Christie put herself forward for an Emmy nomination, much to the delight of Game of Thrones fans. Outstanding supporting actor in a drama series Alfie Allen, Game of Thrones Jonathan Banks, Better Call Saul Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Game of Thrones Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones Giancarlo Esposito, Better Call Saul Michael Kelly, House of Cards Chris Sullivan, This Is Us In another Game of Thrones heavy segment, the odds are  Peter Dinklage will cap off an impressive season for Tyrion's part (he survived, that's some feat in itself) and take home his fourth acting Emmy. The Emmys for behind-the-scenes work The Primetime Emmys take place Sunday, but Game of Thrones has already bagged a handful of awards thanks to the Creative Arts Emmy Awards this past weekend, which recognize the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Thrones claimed trophies for music, makeup, costumes, casting, editing, sound, visual effects, stunts and opening titles. Amazon's 1960s-set Marvelous Mrs. Maisel fittingly won awards for its period costumes and hairstyles. It was also recognized for its cinematography and claimed both guest actor and guest actress awards in the comedy categories for Luke Kirby and Jane Lynch. The Handmaid's Tale claimed both guest star awards for drama, while Fleabag, Game of Thrones, Queer Eye and When They See Us were recognized for their casting. Short online comedy State of the Union won Rosamund Pike and Chris O'Dowd the best acting awards for a short-form show. Chernobyl, Free Solo and Queer Eye also won multiple awards. HBO is leading with 25 Creative Arts wins, followed closely by Netflix with 23. The streaming service claimed awards for Queer Eye, Our Planet, Russian Doll, When They See Us, Bandersnatch, Glow, One Day at a Time, Springsteen on Broadway, The Ranch and sci-fi animation Love, Death and Robots. One award Netflix missed out on was the Outstanding Variety Special award, despite having four out of five entries on the shortlist including Hannah Gadsby's Nanette and Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé. That one went to James Corden's Carpool Karaoke special episode on CBS with Paul McCartney in Liverpool. (Editors' note: CBS is the parent company of CNET. ) Elsewhere, Apple won an Emmy for Carpool Karaoke: The Series. The Simpsons defied those who say the long-running show is on the decline with a win for an episode from the show's 30th season, while Star Trek: Discovery took home an award for its prosthetic make-up. Meanwhile, outside of the traditional TV world Oculus, Twitch and NASA were recognized for their work with interactive media. Originally published Sept. 10.

The Kansas City Chiefs (12-4) have been an offensive buzzsaw in the NFL Playoffs this year, scoring 86 points in two games. Keep an eye on the Chiefs in the second and third quarters, which is when they did the most damage against Houston and Tennessee. Patrick Mahomes has spent this season transforming from one of the NFL's best quarterbacks into the league's best player. In the AFC Championship game, the Chiefs fell behind the Titans 17-7, and had to be feeling a bit of deja vu from the week before. Then Mahomes and the offense scored three touchdowns in less than five minutes of gametime to take the lead, and they never looked back. The Chiefs are now winners of eight straight games. Between back Damien Williams, receivers Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and even tight end Travis Kelce, the Chiefs may have more weapons than even the 49ers excellent defense can contain. ESPN Get Up crew previews the Super Bowl, and the matchup between KC's defensive line & 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The San Francisco 49ers (13-3) have been dominating in the NFC side of the playoff bracket, and they still may not have shown everything they can do. The Niners game plan is pretty clear, as they have had 27 passing attempts and 89 rushing attempts in their two games this January. They aren't relying on only one rusher, as Raheen Mostert and Tevin Coleman took turns leading the team in rushes. In the NFC Championship game, Mostert helped put the Packers away early with three touchdowns in the first half. The 49ers defense has been the story of their season, with standouts like Arik Armstead and Nick Bosa who have a combined 19 sacks. Their defensive backfield will have all they can handle facing Mahomes, but Richard Sherman and K'Waun Williams have combined for five interceptions. A big one in the big game could turn the tide.
